Dear Prayer Partners,

Thanks for praying for Lois and in Kenya. We have been in touch almost daily and she is definitely doing better but still counting the days for my return on the 12th of this month.

Praise God for two new pledges of regular monthly support from two individuals and an increase of support from one of our partnering churches. I also had a brother in Christ offer us a handicap-access lift from his van to put on our container. These answers to prayer have come at a time I was feeling discouraged that I could not stay longer to raise more needed support. It seems God is saying, “Go home and love your wife and leave the money issues to me!” What a kind and loving Father we have!

I would solicit your prayers for a sudden invitation to go and speak at a military base in New Jersey. Wednesday evening (Feb 3rd) I will be talking about cross-cultural communication in the context of our work in Africa in an officer’s training class. An instructor heard me speaking yesterday at a church and we talked after the service. Although I am not allowed to preach to them, I am praying for an opportunity to effect their military careers in a way that would glorify God.

Continue to pray that God would bring in the remaining $1000 of pledges of regular monthly support.
