Jordan working on church building

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We are asking our friends in the U.S. and Kenya to pray for our dear brother Jordan who many of you may remember from our summer building team in Milia in 2006. I received this news last night:

“Robert, I’m sure you remember Jordan Iida who traveled with the Reston team to Kenya in 2006. He is now a cadet at VMI. Yesterday morning during PT he collapsed. Despite being in near perfect physical condition, they have diagnosed it as a stroke of no known origin. He currently has some impairment on his left side in his leg, arm, speech and vision, but the doctors are optimistic about his recovery.

Obviously, this is a huge blow to his plans for a future as a Marine, and a near-crushing blow to a young man whose very person cries out “physically fit.” I am sure he is in a very discouraged, dark place. I thought to share this with you because not only do you know Jordan, but because of what you all went through with Andrew, you will have great compassion for Jordan and for his parents and will pray as the Lord leads.

They are still in the very early days of assessment and planning. He is at UVA Medical Center. But, if the Lord inspires you to send a note to him, it can await him at home. His mailing address is: Jordan Iida, 956 Barton Oaks Place, Herndon, VA 20170″ or you can send emails to: robiniidaworm@yahoo.com

Blessings in the Lord,
