Becky’s Wedding and Prayer Requests

Monday, 28 July 2008

< em>The Carr Family at Becky’s wedding

Thank you so much for your prayers concerning our daughter Becky’s wedding on 19th July. We feel it was such a success! The location was beautiful, the weather was very hot but better than rain since it was an outdoor ceremony and then we had the shelter of a beautiful historical house with a.c. and fans for relief. The wedding ceremony and reception were both at one location- an old historic mansion called The Highlands on the outskirts of Philly.

Pastor Mutemi Helps

Sunday, 20 July 2008

While in Nakuru, we invited Pastor Mutemi to visit families in the camp with us. It is always good to have the eyes and ears of someone more familiar with the culture and who is better able to share the gospel and pray with folks. I was so thankful for his love and enthusiasm to share Christ as we walked from tent to tent.

Intern Adriel Loving the Kids

Thursday, 17 July 2008

Adriel, one of our summer interns, drew a crowd of children and teens around her when she sat down and brought out a Bible story book with large color illustrations. The refugee children listened intently as she told stories and a high school student translated for her into Swahili…
